My name is Jacqui Owens and I am proud to be helping with the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) focus for Chasen Rainbows, Inc. I’m currently the Social Justice & Equity Committee representative for two branches of my agency as well as being a member of the Social Justice Team at my church.

When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my family, including my husband, my 3 year old, and two cats. They (minus the cats) are why I am working in DEI. My husband being a man of color and my daughter being a multiracial female growing up in this world fuel my passion for this research and education. Most importantly, I want my daughter to know that the sky really is the limit when it comes to opportunities.

As an educator, mother, and multicultural woman living in the world today, I am grateful for the opportunity to help people become more aware of the experiences of others happening around them.
